Abstract

This study is the partial result of research carried out by MOSCOPSS – Contemporary Social Movements, Sector Social Policies and Social Work – of the Social Work Department of UFSC. It presents the quantitative results regarding the social movements theme in the first ten years of the millennium in papers published in events promoted by the professional category: the Brazilian Conferences of Social Workers and the National Meetings of Research in Social Work. The data collected allow stating that the theme has not completely disappeared in these spaces of knowledge socialization, even though the profession has had a profound detachment from it, which is the result of theoretical references that guide the reflections on the theme in the profession.
