Social Control in Brazilian Healthcare Policy Considering Guidelines of International Financial Agencies

This work has as object of study the role of the National Health Council (CNS) as a formal political mechanism of social control against the orientations of the World Bank, observing the relationship between the CNS political struggle in defense of the SUS and the counter reformation imposed by international organisms in the determination of the Brazilian health policy. For in such a way, it was used the bibliographical research and the documentary research. The importance of the social control exerted through the interventions against: the crack in the universality, unofficial payment, and State reforms in the health field, which tend to privatization, among others.
