Abstract

In this work we aimed to know the social representations about the new ways of living - the condos for the elderly, highlighting the feelings that they involve. Analyzes were carried out of the comments, posted on the blog "50 and more - Intelligent adult life" by the journalist Maya Santana. It is a qualitative research guided by the assumptions of the theory of social representations, submitted to the technique of content analysis. From the results, it was verified that almost all the comments point out as "dream" to have access to this type of housing in the "best age". This article highlights the discussion about access to housing by the elderly, justifying their social relevance in the accelerated process of aging of the population, in the increase of the life expectancy of the Brazilian and in the expectation of life in a world full of challenges for the resignification of old age.
